Cover Reveal: Finding Serenity by Eden Butler

Title: Finding Serenity
Series: Seeking Serenity, Book #2
Author: Eden Butler
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance
Release Date: April 7, 2014

Mollie Malone's mom skipped out on her. Her biker dad, always loose and easy with the law, still was able to make her feel loved, and to keep her safe. But thirteen years ago, when his luck finally ran out and he landed in prison, Mollie found herself a new family - a group of friends in the sleepy little college town of Cavanagh, Tennessee, where now they all attend the local university. These girls know about the rotten roots of her family tree but accept her anyway, and the bond between them is so strong and supportive that Mollie is finally able to see past graduation to a future that is bright and secure.

But sometimes the past doesn't stay buried.

Suddenly, inexplicably, there's a shadow behind every step Mollie takes. Someone is lurking in that shadow, threatening not only Mollie, but also the new family she has claimed for herself.

And it isn’t just the past that has Mollie’s life in upheaval. Hunky former Marine Vaughn Winchester - who Mollie really would like to get to know much better - thinks Mollie is just a kid; he's made it clear she wouldn't ever be able to understand the demons haunting him. But if that's what he believes, then why does he keep sticking his nose in her business? And if he thinks she’s such a kid, why does he keep trying to kiss her?

Vaughn’s mind games are frustrating, especially since Mollie knows enough about secrets to be convinced that there's something he isn’t telling her, something he's so far been able to keep hidden. But when that secret is revealed, Mollie is forced into a situation that tests her loyalty and threatens even her closest friendships - just when the shadow of her past returns, and she's going to need them the most.

'Finding Serenity' is book two in the Seeking Serenity series.

Excerpt - Finding Serenity

This was a mistake, being here, watching her without guarding his expression. He knew she could see what he wanted. He knew she felt what he wanted just seconds ago when that round, supple ass was leaning against him. But he had a job to do. He had to protect her. To keep her safe. Everything hinged on her safety.

“I don’t think that, but you’re right. You are untouchable.”

“Because I’m a kid?”

“Because you’re off limits.” That settled it. That should, he thought, make her understand that no matter what he said or how badly he wanted her, he couldn’t touch her again.

Vaughn turns, the door just feet from him. He is almost there, just in reach of the space he needs to force between them. She has to see reason. She has to understand that the mission is what matters, not what either of them wants.

“Vaughn?” There is something in her voice that is different. Determination maybe? Certainty? Whatever it is, Mollie has never used that tone with him and he knows it would be a mistake to turn around. His gut tells him that turning around would disintegrate any hope of resistance. But her feet drag on the carpet and he can feel the soft wisp of her breath against his neck and he is helpless. He manages a glance, tells himself that it is all he will allow her, but when he sees her face, sees how calm she is, how confidently she sets her shoulders, he moves, comes to face her fully. “I’m not a kid.” And then, she drops the towel.
*About Eden*

Eden Butler is an editor and writer of New Adult Romance and SciFi and Fantasy novels and the nine-times great-granddaughter of an honest-to-God English pirate. This could explain her affinity for rule breaking and rum. Her debut novel, a New Adult, Contemporary (no cliffie) Romance, “Chasing Serenity” will launch October 2013.

When she’s not writing or wondering about her possibly Jack Sparrowesque ancestor, thinking up impossible plots, Eden edits, reads and spends way too much time watching rugby, Doctor Who and New Orleans Saints football.

After being kicked out of college due to false claims of plagiarism, Jason’s life has taken a turn for the worse. Swamped with student loans and unable to pay rent, he is literally at his wit’s end when he meets Guy Winters. Everything about Guy is fascinating: his lifestyle, his appearance, his generosity. So when Jason faces potential homelessness, he agrees to move in, but it isn’t long before he realizes that Guy seems different. He’s vague about where he works, the temperature is always freezing in his home, and his touch renders Jason breathless beyond what any passion should.
After a home invasion leaves a man dead, a horrifying truth comes to life. Guy isn’t human, and another of his kind is in Austin, leaving trail of bodies in its wake that frames both men for murder. With Jason’s fingerprints in the apartment and a gunshot that will have sent the police department scrambling, there’s no time to explain. The only thing they can do is run.

Book Info

Every High School has their social outcasts. The band nerds, the math geeks, the chess club, the girl that chews her hair, but at Butler High, even the creepy nose picker in the chess club is more popular than Caleo Anima. No matter what he did, his pale skin, snow white hair, and piercing blue eyes always made him an easy target. He used to think that the only way things could get worse would be if someone found out that he was gay, but that isn't even the tip of the iceberg of problems after a mysterious stranger shows up and changes Caleo’s life forever.

Hidden amongst our society, a secret and magical race of people known as ‘Leeches’, have been engaging in civil war for decades. Both sides are desperately searching for a weapon with unlimited power that will give them the advantage they need to rule their world. This wouldn’t mean anything to Caleo, except for one problem...He is that weapon!

Forget making it through High School. Caleo has bigger problems! As the search for him goes on, the world is quickly crumbling around him. He's now fighting for his life and the life of what little family he has left. With the help of new friends, he has little time to try and master his newly found powers as he tries to figure out who he can trust, who is trying to use him, and who just wants him dead. One wrong step and being the awkward pale outcast will be the least of his worries.

What if you knew the exact date and time the world will end, what would you do?
Sam Tucker was faced with that dilemma when he began getting visions of the Earth's demise. Luckily for him, he was able to save his family and as many people as he could before the tragic event occurred, and he did so with the help of unknown visitors. With Earth now destroyed, Sam, his family, and thousands of other lucky survivors must live the rest of their lives on a faraway planet in a Dome that simulates life on Earth. But Sam's mind can't seem to rest as a few questions arise. Why did the aliens save them? How did they know about Earth's sure fate? And exactly what are they hiding?
Emma Tucker begged for an escape from her boring life but never in a million years did she think it would come at the destruction of Earth. Living on a new planet and finding it difficult to get rid of her rebellious habits, Emma finds herself making friends with a member of the alien race and it soon develops into an unexplainable love; a love that is more dangerous than she could ever imagine. While her father is searching for his own truths, she has no idea that she is stumbling on a truth of her own.
Told from the point of view of both Sam and Emma, author Nova Sparks takes readers on a journey to discover love, fate, faith, truth, and the mystery of the DOME!

Disney's Maleficent - "Dream" Trailer

I wasn't even thinking about this when my wife and I came up with the title for book one of Three Dreams Saga, yet it's a song I've always loved and I'm really enjoying this rendition by Lana Del Ray.

Amazon Prime Saved My Life, and how to get free Amazon Gift Card

Okay, Amazon Prime didn't really save my life. though it's very cool. But Amazon Prime has saved me a lot of money on shipping alone, and Amazon Prime Instant Video
has done wonders by helping me catch up on shows before the new season starts. For example, I made the horrible mistake of missing out on Sherlock, but Amazon Prime bailed me out and now I'm ready for the series 3 (known as a season in the US) premier on January 19th.

On a side note, Downton Abbey series 4 premiere is tonight (It was January 5th, 2104 if your reading this from the future) and my wife and I cannot be more excited. This may sound an awful lot like some sort of shameless Ad, but no one's paying me to post this or anything, I just really love Amazon prime.

And before I go let me remind you all that I've successfully received nearly $50 in free Amazon gift cards.  Before you ask "where can i get amazon gift card?" I'll go ahead and let the cat out of the bag. I use a site called that offers loads of gift cards in exchange for doing things like surveys, playing games, downloading apps on iPhone or Android. etc.

You're basically selling your information, which chances are has already been put up for sale by someone else. Fortunately. you can use alternate email addresses (without violating the Terms of Service) and can use software like Sandboxie to play it safe if you choose to download any software (which often bring a lot of points). It's really been worth my time and effort!

If you're still not sure about Amazon Prime, I recommend you sign up for a free Amazon Prime 30-day trial. You can always cancel before the 30 days are up of you don't think you'll benefit from it or simply don't want to pay the yearly fee. But it's completely worth it in my opinion!
